Big Brothers Big Sisters inspires and empowers children across the world to beat adversity and reach their full potential. The charity carefully matches mentors with disadvantaged young people, to help them succeed at school and avoid risky behaviour.
Playster is a family product, and we believe that shared experiences can strengthen the family unit and support young people towards a successful future.
1 The need
The charity already works with thousands of littles between 6 and 18 years of age, but thousands more at-risk young people across the world are still on waiting lists for mentors.
2 The work
Mentorship programs create positive one-to-one relationships between littles and bigs, focusing on each individual child's needs in order to change their lives for the better – forever.
3 The impact
Studies have shown BBBS mentoring makes young people 46% less likely to try drugs, 27% less likely to try alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, and 33% less likely to hit someone.
